Geography GCSE

In Year 3 the students are preparing for their GCSE course and will look at Energy resources, Pollution, Shopping patterns in Hale Barns, Rivers, the Geography of sport and Earthquakes and Volcanoes.

We follow the AQA Syllabus A at GCSE and this covers Earthquakes and Volcanoes, Ecosystems and coastal landforms for Module 1 and Population, the Development Gap and Tourism for Module 2.

37.5% of the overall grade is examined at the end of Year 4 with a internally assessed coursework item being carried out in during the summer term. This counts for 25% of the overall mark.

The final 37.5% of the overall grade is examined at the end of year 5.
