The Subject

The Computing department plan to develop pupil’s ICT skills and their ability to utilise these skills as a universal ‘tool set’. Pupils will be able to independently select and use appropriate ICT applications and use their skills to transfer this knowledge to other areas of their learning. Our aim is to develop individuals with good critical thinking and problem solving skills who are well prepared to meet the demands of modern ICT technology in all aspects of life. To achieve this, we have designed a curriculum that is relevant, stimulating and motivating through the use of multimedia, real-life applications and projects and extra-curricular opportunities.
