A level English
We allow our Lower Sixth boys to sit ELLA2 in January. If they wish to improve their grade further in this module, they can resit in June of the Lower Sixth and January and June of the Upper Sixth.
We allow our Upper Sixth boys to sit ELLA3 in January. If they wish to improve their grade further in this module, they can resit in June of the Upper Sixth.
AS Level
Thurs 27th May PM – ELLA1 – 1 hour 30 minutes
Candidates must answer one creative response and one literary response on:
• The Kiterunner
• A Streetcar Named Desire
AS Level
Tuesday 8th June PM – ELLA2 – 1 hour 30 minutes
• Analysis of spoken language AND application of this to Waiting for Godot
UPPER SIXTH A2
Thursday 24th June – ELLA3 – 2hours 30 minutes
• Analysis of language AND recasting text based upon Cupcakes & Kalashnikovs
ELLA4 – Coursework essay on Hamlet and Plath Poetry
