Lent offers us all a very special opportunity to grow in our relationship with God and to deepen our commitment to a way of life, rooted in our baptism.
In our busy world, Lent provides us with an opportunity to reflect upon our lives, to pray more deeply, experience sorrow for what we've done and failed to do, and to be generous to those in need.
Loving Father, you give us lives that are beautiful, full of potential and full of joy. Help us to use this Lent to make the very best of those lives and to strip away those things that are holding us back from you and from being the loving, kind, amazing people you made us to be.
Give me the courage to reflect, the grace to pray, the love to reach out and the patience to wait patiently for the joy of Easter.
