St Ambrose College supports Safer Internet Day
St Ambrose College is proud to support Safer Internet Day, with a focus on helping pupils understand both the advantages of artificial intelligence (AI) and how to use technology safely and responsibly.
As part of this year’s theme, pupils have been learning about how AI is used in everyday life, the positive opportunities it offers, and the potential risks if it is misused. Through form-time presentations, classroom discussions, and interactive activities and quizzes, pupils have been encouraged to think critically, act responsibly online, and know where to seek help if something worries them.
To support conversations at home, all materials used in school have been uploaded to the school website for parents and carers to access. These include helpful guidance and links to trusted organisations, such as the UK Safer Internet Centre, offering further advice on online safety, AI, and digital wellbeing.
At St Ambrose College, we are committed to working in partnership with parents and carers to ensure our pupils are confident, informed, and safe when using technology.
