Mploy 

We use an independent careers service, Mploy, to provide our students with the highest level of impartial careers advice.  Mr Andrew Heydeman is our dedicated Mploy Careers Adviser. Further information below.

All students see our careers advisor as standard in the 4th year and lower sixth form and they can request additional appointments as needed.  Furthermore, any students qualifting for pupil premium or is on our SEND register will automatically receive additional 1-2-1 support.  

Mr Andrew Heydeman

Mr Heydeman is a fully qualified Level 6 Careers Adviser, who has over twenty five years experience helping both young people and adults with their career plans and progression , and employability and skills development. He has gained extensive experience working with employers and key partners/stakeholders across a wide range of occupational sectors on all aspects of human resource development.   He has a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management , and achieved Fellowship status with the Royal Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.

Greater Manchester Combined Authority and The Enterprise Advisor Network 

In 2018 St Ambrose College successfully applied to The Enterprise Advisor Network, run by The Greater Manchester Combined Authority for additional support in achieving the new standards in careers education outlined by the government.  Since then we have been working closely with GMCA through Lucy Johnson and our Enterprise Advisor, Mr Will Oldham ( a St Ambrose parent) to continuously challenge and grow our careers programme in line with the Gatsby benchmarks. 

Mr Will Oldham 

Will is a locally based company director from the paper and packaging industry and supports the school as its Enterprise Adviser, advising on the careers strategy and facilitating links with local and national businesses.
